" The 2010 Punta Esencia is produced with Tempranillo from very old vineyards aged for a long time in barrel.
The wine starts off pretty closed, un-giving.
It slowly opens up to reveal fresh aromas of berries, dry flowers, and spices.
The palate shows more the effect of the wood and while it seems like it has the stuffing to come back into balance, right now the oak and drying tannins are too predominant.
